Dr. Kira Kasperek is a forensic linguist with experience in threat assessment, authorship analysis, and the investigation of language crimes. Her work sits at the intersection of linguistics, criminology, and law, with a particular focus on applying linguistic methods to investigative and risk assessment contexts.

She holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Birmingham and a Master’s degree in Forensic Linguistics from Hofstra University. Her doctoral research focused on threat assessment and targeted violence prevention, combining discourse and corpus analytic methods to identify linguistic patterns and map them onto the warning signs in risk assessment tools to aid investigators.

During her training, she completed an Expert Witness Internship focused on expert testimony and evidentiary standards within the US legal system, including the qualifying under Daubert and Frye standards.
